Communication as a productive advantage

We currently find ourselves in a globalized world, where communication is essential for the development of society and, therefore, the company needs to carry out the functions that will allow you to achieve your goals.

Communication plays an important role in the interpersonal relationships of the organization because as workers get to know their company and are aware of their capabilities, they exchange experiences that contribute to the achievement of the objectives set by the organization.

It is important to understand that, in a company, communication is everything: research, debate, agreements, orders, instructions, objectives, relationship with customers, suppliers, employees, administrations, social groups, etc. Communication in all directions, ascending, descending, with the team, with the outside world. Good communication will allow us to implement the automation of work processes.

The function of the manager from certain levels has a fundamental part of communication: with their employees, with their bosses, with all the interest groups in the company, with special relevance in three groups: employees, clients, and media.

Communication is used to design and disseminate strategies, objectives, plans, and tactics that allow us to move in the right direction; to direct, guide, motivate employees, organize the company's resources in the most appropriate way possible, to interact with people and groups outside the company, to speak to the media, and to fix the image of the company.

So, the key to being a good manager is to use your intelligence to create smart communication habits. It is for all this that we must see communication as a productive advantage since it will be how we obtain the following advantages:

  1. We will be able to make our point of view known with total clarity so that the interlocutor gets a concrete idea of the information that we want to communicate without giving rise to confusion or misinterpretation.

  2. It will allow us to influence and transmit attitudes in the interlocutor that will later translate into actions or behaviors.

  3. It will allow us to leave the interlocutor with a positive idea of ourselves, which we will be able to show through knowledge of the topics exposed, how they are presented and the personal attitudes expressed.

  4. Through effective listening, it is possible to participate in ideas, opinions, knowledge, etc. of our employees and, at the same time, we will have a greater number of criteria to make better decisions. On the other hand, it provides us with information that will allow us to adapt the proposals to others to get their adhesion to our ideas.

  5. We will achieve positive interactions between the participants of the communication. By eliminating misunderstandings and false interpretations, it is possible to create a favorable climate for human relations.

  6. We will help to promote boss-employee relations, which will allow a greater relationship between the two. This achieves greater professional effectiveness at work and personal satisfaction and also contributes to creating more productive, efficient, and quality work environments, given that positive interaction between people who have to work together is encouraged, making teamwork go from being a theory to becoming a reality. They significantly improve contacts with customers and suppliers and favor negotiations and agreements inherent to the work dynamics.

In conclusion, the need for the company to communicate with the members of its organization and manage the information that circulates internally is of the utmost importance, since it has the function of communicating multiple objectives related to the satisfaction of the needs of the employees or with the achievement of final objectives such as profitability or productivity.

The relationships that exist between the members of an organization are established thanks to communication; In these exchange processes, functions are assigned and delegated, commitments are established and it makes sense to be part of it.

For these reasons, every company must prioritize within its organizational structure a communications and information system that helps make processes more efficient, which internally will help increase productivity.

Always be clear that institutional communications promote participation, integration, and coexistence between each of the people who work there. It also fulfills a series of functions within the institution such as: providing information on internal processes, enabling command functions, making good decisions, being able to provide solutions to different problems, and obtaining reports on the real situation of the company. For all this, we can see communication as a productive advantage.
