What are we talking about when we talk about brand recognition? How is it achieved? How important is it? Much is heard on the subject, but it is not always clear what it is specifically about. Brand recognition has to do with the fact that a person does not need to see the name of our company to know that a product, a publication, a slogan belongs to us. In other words, it is about our customers and potential customers being able to recognize us without us directly telling them that it is us.
The ideal is to have a brand that is unique, original, and memorable, that lasts in the memory of those who see it to position ourselves in the market more easily because people are already aware of the existence of our brand.
Achieving brand recognition is a job that takes time and dedication but, above all, a lot of consistency and a lot of repetition. Why consistency? Because to last in people's memory and for them to be able to recognize us without reading our name, we must be consistent with colors, content, designs, that is, follow a pre-established and continuous line. Why repetition? Because to fix something in people's minds, it is necessary to show or tell them something many times.
For example, there may be an element, a drawing, that when viewed is directly linked to our brand. Another option is also to have an identifying phrase or word so that when people are saying or listening to it, our brand comes to their minds. That is always the goal, to be present at all times, in people's minds, even though they are making a purchase.
Today, social networks provide us with many tools to achieve brand recognition. We must exploit the capabilities of these tools and get the most out of them for our company. On Facebook, for example, brand recognition ads can be made and they are very useful, since this network allows us to carry out extremely exhaustive audience segmentation, therefore, our ad will reach whom we want it to reach, when we want it to arrive and where. In this way, the chances of success are high and the effort is productive.
It is very important to work on recognition throughout the life cycle of a company. Even if it is a large company already well positioned in the market, we always have to be creative and innovate to bring customers and potential customers with us, so that we are always ourselves but without people getting bored.
