- Market analysis. What is the current situation of our market? Who is our competition? Who is our target audience? These are all questions that we cannot stop asking ourselves. When creating the business plan, we must have the maximum amount of quality information regarding the market in which we operate. Information is power, and by counting on it, we can make the right decisions.
- Description of products and services. What product do we offer? What is the need we cover? We must know all the characteristics of our products and their functions. In this way, we will be able to highlight all their characteristics, recognizing their benefits and their valuable contribution to whoever buys them. In addition, all its features must be available and accessible to all those who are interested and are potential buyers.
- Marketing plan. How do they know our products, our customers? What strategies are we using? The marketing plan is the document that contains the details of all the actions that must be carried out to promote our product and close sales. This plan is essential within the Commercial Plan because it establishes the sales objectives that are intended to be achieved in a given period, as well as the strategies that will be applied to meet them.
- Finances and projections. This element of the business plan is very important because it will provide us with important information about the financial status of the company, the fixed and variable costs, as well as the sales projections in the short and long term. Undoubtedly, it is very necessary to know the financial situation of the business because it will determine the strategies that will be applied to improve or optimize the state, as appropriate.
- Monitoring and control. This point is not an element in itself but has to do with all the previous ones. It is about checking that the commercial plan is respected and that all the objectives established there are met. A constant follow-up must be carried out throughout the year, to check how the process is going and also detect faults and failures that will be taken as background for the next periods. In other words, each year our business plan will be more optimized and its success will be greater.
Your commercial plan must be adapted to the needs of your company and the industry to which it belongs, as well as the local context in which it is inserted. Therefore, in addition to these general elements that we raised above, when planning, you must take these issues into account.
