Improvement of internal processes: ARP arquitectos & desarrollistas

Pablo first heard of us in an event about Productivity in processes that we held in Córdoba city in 2019. A few days later, and after some thank-you emails for having joined us in that event, we decided to schedule a meeting to know their challenges in depth.

Initial situation

ARP Arquitectos was on a revision phase at that time, making strategic adjustments and looking at the future performance of the company in the following three years. One of their main focus was on improving their processes and procedures.

The topics we went through in our first meeting were:

  • Coordination between the technical and the administrative areas of the company.
  • Communication channels at ARP.
  • Project management and visibility to their customers.
  • Applying management metrics according to people, areas, and at the organizational level.

This first stage of assessment took three meetings since we were getting involved in the main processes of the company and needed to have a more comprehensive view of it.

How we helped

Once we had a complete view of the company and the problems we were going to deal with in this first project, we started designing new workflows supported by technology (the main part of them was monday.com).

We divided the work we had to do into several stages; we scheduled revision meetings to make adjustments two months after until we achieved the goals we had established.

Then, we worked in two training sessions for all the employees of ARP to make sure that our counseling was over and the implementation had been effective.

Results

Once our job was done, we were able to connect areas of the company that, otherwise, would still be working in silos and whose communication was based on email threads, phone calls, and group messages on WhatsApp.

At the same time, we could improve the coordination of key aspects for the development of architectural projects, such as work progress analysis, with the necessary materials and workers for each stage.

Today, ARP Arquitectos has a digital structure that allows it to:

  • Be aware of the progress of all their projects in real-time.
  • Provide traceability to their customers automatically.
  • Eliminate WhatsApp groups as a tool for constant communication.
  • Provide knowledge about future projects to all the areas.
  • Implement management panels to measure performance according to indicators.

And this was only the beginning!
